Dawn E. Trapp is the CEO, Artist Curator and Lead Organizing Specialist behind First Impressions Events & Entertainment, LLC. She began the company in 2010 as an event planning provider organizing specialty entertainment features and shows for corporate clientele. Upon demand, in 2014, she expanded the company to also offer artist curation and managing services in addition to event organizing services to individuals and businesses alike.


Dawn, who is affectionately known as Mrs. Trapp, obtained her BS in Business Management Degree from the University of Phoenix. She leveraged it and personal service experience to propel her while serving as a Human Resources Generalist for over 20 years. Her tenure is segmented in leadership as she has an adept knowledge for processes having managed for several industries including Hospitality, Health Care, and Engineering. Having a flair for effortlessly managing the intricate details in schematics, Dawn has been instrumental in streamlining logistics protocols for one of the nation’s leading learning associations for Human Resource development.


With poise and character like none other, Dawn has developed a unique coaching arm officiating her comprehensive Artist Curation Program. She’s worked with Musicians, Singers and Performers including 3-time Detroit Music Award winner, Jazz Singer Nicole “Sky” Covington, Drummer Gayelynn McKinney, of the All-Female Jazz Band Straight Ahead and her band, The McKinney Zone as well as Bassist, Mr. International Ralphe Armstrong. The company has contracted supporting talent for several artists such as Duane Parham, Higher Vibe, Straight Ahead, Marqueal Jordan, saxophonist and vocalist for Brian Culbertson.


While FIEE primarily represents artists whose contribution is Jazz, R&B, and Neo Soul, the company has worked well with those who are independently published. FIEE is a member of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada and a contributory member of the National Association of Black Females in Music and Entertainment).
